LaColmar Bakery & Bistro leads Pan-Florida Challenge sponsors
Naples, FL – March 1, 2018– Local businesses led by presenting sponsor La Colmar Bakery & Bistro are uniting to end the scourge of childhood hunger across Florida. Gold sponsors Guidepoint Systems, Waterside Builders, Inc., Linda Walsh, and WAVV 101.1 FM round out the top of the list of local businesses and organizations supporting this year’s Pan-Florida Challenge Ride for Hungry Kids.
The PFC Ride for Hungry Kids features 6 routes from a family-friendly 10 miler to a 200-mile cross-Florida adventure March 10-11th from Naples to Vero Beach. Cyclists in each ride raise funds for the PFC school feeding program with 100 percent of rider funds going directly to feed hungry children.

We couldn’t stage such a series of fantastic rides without the help of our dedicated sponsors.”
The Pan-Florida Challenge provides children with our proprietary PFC Power Packs TM which contain 13 meals that meet or exceed USDA recommendations for calories, carbohydrates, and protein for elementary school aged children. PFC Power Packs are put into the kids’ backpacks at the end of school each Friday.

Naples, Florida based Pan-Florida Challenge (PFC) is a 501 (c)(3) charity with a mission to end childhood hunger across Florida, one meal at a time. Pan-Florida Challenge has provided over 3 million meals for hungry children through grants, sponsorship, benefactors, and an annual bike ride event. The funding raised will feed 2,750 elementary school children at 37 schools and aftercare sites in ten Florida counties: Bay, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lee, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie. Our proprietary PFC Power PackTM with 13 meals of kid-friendly and nutritious food items meets or exceeds the USDA recommendations for calories, carbohydrates, and protein for elementary aged children over the weekend.
