Pan-Florida Challenge for Hungry Kids Fighting Child Hunger One Meal at a Time.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Sept. 19, 2015 —

60% of deaths in kids under the age of 18  are attributed to malnutrition. For RacePartner™ client PanFlorida Challenge (PFC),  the solution to this epidemic is one meal at a time.

“The number of local children going hungry shocked our community partners into  action,” said Ed Mullen, Founder and President of the PanFlorida Challenge. “There  are over 1 million kids in Florida who worry about when and where they will eat their  next meal, and with the help of our riders and sponsors, we are seeking a solution to  this problem one meal at a time.”

The 2nd annual PFC raised $140,000 and provided 320,000 meals to hungry children in  Florida and Haiti. PFC’s success illustrates how nonprofits can use applied research to  create a successful event that not only raises money for a great cause, but creates  lifelong advocates for the organization.

“The partnership with PanFlorida Challenge is exactly why we are proud to work in the  fundraising and registration space,” said Robert Anderson, Founding Partner of Forte  Interactive and RacePartner. “We build our solutions to help others change the world,  and we are excited to help PanFlorida Challenge beat their goal next year.”

Registration is now underway for the 3rd Annual PFC that takes place over two days,  Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13. The ride begins in Naples and finishes in  West Palm Beach. Riders are asked to raise a minimum of $1,500, all of which will be  used to purchase meals for hungry kids.

“We are only offering 200 spots for riders and they will go quickly,” explained Maura  Plante, Executive Director of the PanFlorida Challenge. “However, we have so many  volunteer and sponsor opportunities for those who want to get involved but are unable  to ride with us.”

PFC’s 2016 goal is to provide 500,000 meals to hungry children in Florida and Haiti.
