Team CWA p/b TREK Returns to Pan-Florida Challenge Cancer Ride

NAPLES, Fla. — Feb. 12, 2020 — For the sixth consecutive year, Team CWA p/b TREK will cycle in the Pan-Florida Challenge Cancer Ride on March 28 to 29 at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla. The ride is a charity event organized by Pan-Florida Challenge to raise funds for cancer prevention and research.

Team CWA p/b TREK is an elite, all-women’s professional cycling team that competes across the country in races such as Tulsa Tough, Electric City Classic, Tour of American’s Dairyland, and the Detroit Cycling Championship. Members of the team represent seven nations overall and include Alexi Costa; Caroline Baur; Madison Kelly; Kimberly Pettit; Daniely Del Valle Garcia Buitrago; Flora Yan; Valentina Scandolara and Tere Casas. The team will also be joined by their manager, Fabio Calabria, an Australian World Tour professional.

“The ride is a lot of fun and we enjoy coming back every year knowing it’s going to be a great time and a well organized event,” said Tish Kelly, the team’s owner. “It means a lot to our team to come together for such an important cause, as many of our riders have had a personal experience with cancer, such as a family member or friend diagnosed with the disease.”

“It is thrilling to have these champion cyclists join us to help raise awareness and hope for the 100,000 Floridians who will be diagnosed with cancer this year,” said Jeri Goetz, executive director of Pan-Florida Challenge. “Riding with these elite cyclists is a great opportunity for riders to spend the weekend on wheels, while educating people about cancer prevention and research.”
